Students from IMA-endorsed or IMA partner schools are nominated by faculty to receive this scholarship, which allows the student to prepare for and take the CMA or FMAA exam at no cost to them.

The IMA Century Scholarship Award recognizes up to two active IMA student members, where volunteerism has been part of their journey and who are passionate not only about their business career but also about being a leader in the management accounting profession. Students who apply must be from IMA Endorsed schools and/or official members of an active IMA student chapter. This scholarship is available to undergraduate senior students or graduate students in the accounting or related field in the upcoming academic year. The recipient(s) will receive an award of $7,500 as well as a CMA scholarship.

Available to all candidates in an accredited doctoral accounting program concentrating in management accounting or financial management, this program enables candidates to take the CMA exam at no cost.

This program provides support for students at various stages in their doctoral education in accredited programs, enabling them to work on studies that will advance the practice and research of management accounting. Up to $10,000 total are awarded in research dollars.

Awards and Competition Details

The globally popular IMA Student Case Competition invites college or university students to think strategically and stretch their analytical skills to solve a business case. The IMA Student Case Competition is comprised of six regional competitions. Students are eligible to participate in their regional competition.

Student chapters compete for a gold, silver, or bronze award of excellence by promoting IMA's mission/vision and providing a variety of activities/services to their student members. Starting in 2021, all schools who achieve gold will receive $500.
